Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce - This old favorite is said to have been introduced by Henderson Seed Company in 1875. One great easy to grow and quick to mature lettuce with light green frilly leaves, a loose head and a very dependable producer. It withstands heat, drought, and even a light frost. This lettuce is a dependable produce and very hardy. Even after tolerating frost, its flavor is never lost. That is why this lettuce is always tasty and fresh. Their seeds baby mature in 28 days and have little green, crinkly appearance. The leaves fully mature within 45 to 50 days. These seeds are highly prolific and provide reliable results. Plant them three to four weeks before the last frost. The crop can easily withstand drought and heat. A lettuce that the whole family can enjoy. A light green, loose leaf type that takes the heat, holds up under drought, and survives light frosts. Can be planted throughout the season for summer salad results. Resistant to downy mildew, mold, and tip burn.
